I don’t remember a time in my life that I didn’t wish I was more skinny. I lived with a mom and 5 siblings who were all very skinny and attractive, I was the one at family reunions that if I got a dessert, the relatives would tsk tsk tsk me and say “shouldn’t I be on a diet?” I had my first son at 18, and my once perky breasts changed completely. After my second and third pregnancies, where I had numerous problems and I and my sons almost died, I got up to 199-203 lbs!! I was mortified, I began dieting, and exercising to the extreme, I would lose weight and then gain, my sleep cycle got all messed up, and I hated my body.

I became a vegetarian at 31 and even dipped my toes into being a vegan for two years, (but at that time everything was soy, which I am allergic to, and I missed cheese and butter too much) During those 12 years, I had also moved to San Diego, discovered Tantra, was having the most sxx of my life up to that time, and I weighed only 149 lbs, I fit in size 6 clothes!

Unfortunately, I began losing my hair, and getting sick, so my Dr said I had to begin incorporating some meat back into my diet 6 years ago, and then 3 years ago, I was injured by a giant wave in Hawaii, nearly drowned, and my body, especially my muscles, stamina, and metabolism, have not been the same. Add in this virus, being locked down in India with nearly only carbs to eat, plus I’m nearing 50 years old, and pre menopausal, my body is the largest it has ever been. 🙁 I recently went to Black’s beach for the first time, my friend took this photo, and I went to a Dr’s clinic for an ear infection and was so embarrassed when I stepped on the scale and it said 239 pounds!!

My loving partner, Peter Petersen, has been into health and fitness, qigong, and nutrition, most of his life. He has been loving and supportive of my choices, and yet frustrated too that I couldn’t meet him in this healthy playground. After this Dr visit, seeing the reality of where my poor body is at, (the other picture above was at my skinniest, vegan days) I told him I am ready to put health and fitness at the top of my priorities.

I also had the recent fortune of trying the next generation vegan products, OMG cashew butter is to die for! So I wont have to suffer to be healthy.

Peter has agreed to do an entire 90 day program for me, working out several times a day, recipe plans, supplements, and to add to the motivation, he wants to make a group field, where others who are serious about getting into the best shape of their life, can join and cheerlead one another, and have daily live videos, check ins, a place to have all of your questions answered, a weekly zoom check in call where we can share goals, intentions, and progress, triumphs and challenges.

About Your Facilitator:

Peter Petersen’s three main passions in life are movement, music, and meditation. He has been teaching qigong for 19 years and has been a certified Sheng Zhen Qigong teacher for the last 17. He has taught in health clubs, hospitals, retirement villas, and several different wellness/spa resorts in Mexico and the United States, such as Rancho La Puerta, Mayacamas Ranch, and Present Moment Retreat. Peter has traveled and taught with Monique Darling for over the last 5 years teaching Tantra and his own style of qigong/dance all over North America, the EU, Asia, and Australia. Helping people to see what is intensely alive in their heart and helping them to export that passion to the world is why Peter loves his job and will do this till his final breath.
