Join us for “Latihan and the Joy of Sensual Play,” an immersive experience designed to deepen your connection with your body and explore the realms of playful energy. This event promises a journey of self-exploration, sensuality, and community connection, guided by several amazing facilitators including Chris, Monique, and Lawrence!
We’ll start with introductions, creating a safe and inclusive space where everyone is welcomed. We will share about our personal journeys and set the tone for an evening of exploration and discovery. We’ll lay out our agreements, emphasizing confidentiality, consent, and respect for personal boundaries, ensuring a comfortable environment for all.
A highlight of the event is the Latihan session – a unique, blindfolded exploration of energy and connection. This practice emphasizes self-awareness and letting go of the personality, inviting you to move intentionally and connect with others in a respectful, boundary-conscious manner. It’s your chance to dance with the mystery!
Next, immerse yourself in the Museum of Deities, an innovative Tantra practice derived from Europe dividing participants into groups for a respectful, non-penetrative exploration of touch and worship. This session is designed to honor and appreciate the human form in a sacred, consent-based environment.
We’ll also explore a variety of Sensual Toys, demonstrating the use of various tactile elements for a diverse sensory experience. This is followed by another group activity, “Yes, No, More” activity, encouraging vocalization of preferences in a controlled, respectful setting and proving the opportunity to practice using the Sensual Toys.
The event culminates with open invitation for platonic cuddling or free play. (Sensual play, not sxxual at this particular event, undies will stay on) This is a chance to practice breathing, being held, and experiencing the power of human connection. Exploring sensually with one another.

Chris Smith, The Spiritual Sexologist
Chris is a distinguished relationship and intimacy coach, author, and sex educator. He is deeply committed to guiding others in discovering their true purpose, enriching relationships, and cultivating lives brimming with joy.
Chris’s journey started like many, driven by achievements and external validation. However, everything shifted in 2016 with a startling diagnosis of a terminal illness. This pivotal moment served as a catalyst for a significant personal transformation, leading him down a path of profound healing and self-discovery.
Today, Chris’s focus lies in serving the community through his coaching and creating informative, engaging content on human sexuality. He is also actively involved in organizing local sex-positive events, offering a supportive environment for individuals to explore their sensuality and safely connect with others.
As a trauma-informed practitioner, Chris employs a multi-faceted approach in his work. He integrates teachings and experiential learning from various disciplines, including human psychology, somatic bodywork, sex coaching, relational life therapy, shamanism, and tantra.
Lawrence Lanoff, Sedona, AZ, one of the most fascinating people on the teaching landscape is Lawrence Lanoff. Truly a renaissance man, Lawrence is a film director, photographer, author… and a deeply enlightened healer and teacher. He calls himself a “rubber meets the road kinda guy” as he applies this practical essence to his artistic and spiritual skills over a 20 year span, to an amazing array of disciplines, starting with a couple of dream jobs – the directing of movies and as a photographer for Playboy Magazine.
Over the past several years, Lawrence has been in a process of refining his radical teachings, leading people into a new kind of freedom, literally deprogramming them from the sleep imposed by cults and religions. Monique Darling, Author of ‘Beyond Cuddle Party’ and workshop facilitator extraordinaire has led over 3000 workshops in the past 13 years. She is the founder of Juicy Enlightenment an organization dedicated to empowering people who are questioning the assumptions of how their life should be and to offering tools for self expression that create trust, inner knowing and wisdom to enjoy the life they have.
Monique has taught at colleges across the US including Yale. She has been featured on TLC and The Dr’s as well as various radio shows, podcasts and magazines across the globe. She specializes in helping others reclaim their power and natural sensuality by transmuting fear and repression into courage, self-love and freedom. Her primary purpose is helping folks bring out their vulnerability, energetic embodiment and fearless relating.
